| Q. Why is it important to reboot my computer? |
A. Rebooting or, restarting
your computer can clear out small glitches and errors that
occur during normal use. Please read more about rebooting
here. |

| Q. Why am I getting the same emails over and over
again? |
A. Receiving the same emails over and
over is a common problem with email clients (Outlook Express,
Eudora, etc.) It means you have gotten an email that is
corrupt in some way and is freezing up your email program.
If your email client gives you a 'timed out' error or
does not finish downloading the email from our server,
it will not delete the messages from your inbox. The result
is: getting the same messages over and over again.
Solution: Login to your mail using the
'WEBMail' interface above and delete, respond to, or save
the messages in your inbox. It is hard to know which email
may be causing the problem but, most usually, it is some
SPAM (unsolicited ad) that causes the problem. Once you
have cleared your inbox of all mail, log out and
go back to your email program. This should solve the problem.

| Q. WEBMail: How do I get my Acelink email from anywhere? |
A. You can log into the Acelink
Webmail Interface and get your email from any computer that
has an internet connection.
Procedure: Go to the top of any page at www.acelink.net
and find the orange strip with the words 'WEBMail.' In
the 'username' box, type your email address without the
@acelink.net (Example: john@acelink.net would type 'john'
in the username box.) Type your password in the 'password'
box and hit the 'GO!' button. You will be logged into the
WEBMail interface -you may read, reply, compose new, and
delete emails as well as change your email options (setup
autoreplies, vacation messages, change your password, etc.)
NOTE: while using WEBMail, you are editing your emails directly
on the server -if you delete emails from your inbox here,
they will not be available in your email program (Outlook
Express, Eudora, etc.) |
